Each pillar is distinct. Each influences the others. Together, they provide an architecture for understanding ourselves more fully.
Everyone is whole. Yet at different points in life, parts of our wholeness can become depleted, neglected, or disconnected. We don't lose our wholeness. We experience changes within it.
Those changes rarely happen in isolation.
What affects the mind can influence the body. Emotions can affect energy. Connection can influence how we think, feel, and function. Meaning and purpose can affect how we experience ourselves and the world around us.
The 6 Pillars of Wholeness provides an architecture for examining those relationships.
Across three volumes, experts from multiple disciplines contribute their knowledge through Mind, Body, Spirit, Emotion, Energy and Connection, giving readers access to perspectives that are often separated by profession, practice, or field of study.
The purpose is not to tell readers how to become whole.
It is to help them better understand the wholeness that is already theirs.

Created by Shawn Renee Jones, The Architecture Behind the Series
Shawn Renee Jones, IHAP, CRC created The 6 Pillars of Wholeness from the recognition that the different dimensions of human experience are deeply interconnected, yet they are frequently studied, taught, and addressed separately.
The Six Pillars framework provides a structure for bringing those dimensions together without suggesting that any single discipline, methodology or professional holds all the answers.
Shawn created the three-volume series to bring experts into that architecture, allowing each contributor to teach from their area of expertise while allowing readers to see how different dimensions of life intersect.
The framework belongs to one architecture. The knowledge comes from many voices.
MIND
How we think.
Mind explores cognition, thought patterns, learning, perception, decision-making, awareness and the ways our internal thinking influences our experience.
BODY
How we physically experience life.
Body addresses physical health, movement, nutrition, physiology, restoration and the relationship between physical well-being and the other dimensions of life.
SPIRIT
How we experience meaning.
Spirit creates space for purpose, values, meaning, inner alignment and the ways people understand their relationship with something beyond everyday function.
EMOTION
How we feel and respond.
Emotion examines our emotional experiences, expression, regulation, resilience and the role feelings play in behavior, relationships and well-being.
ENERGY
How we engage and function.
Energy considers vitality, internal resources, restoration, balance and the different ways energy influences our capacity to participate in life.
CONNECTION
How we relate.
Connection explores relationships, communication, belonging, community and our relationship with ourselves, other people and the environments around us.
The 6 Pillars of Wholeness is designed as a resource readers can explore, interact with and return to throughout different seasons of life.
Across the three-volume series, readers will encounter expert knowledge alongside practical applications, activities, reflection opportunities and interactive elements that extend the experience beyond traditional reading.
Readers will also have opportunities to discover and connect directly with contributing experts, allowing learning that begins within the books to continue beyond their pages.
The series is being created for individual readers as well as educators, practitioners, organizations, wellness professionals, libraries, schools, workplaces and communities seeking a broader resource for understanding the human experience.
Read it. Explore it. Apply it. Return to it.

We are currently selecting professionals whose knowledge and work align with Mind, Body, Spirit, Emotion, Energy or Connection for inclusion in The 6 Pillars of Wholeness.
You do not need to represent an entire pillar.
You bring the knowledge you have developed through your profession, practice, research, experience or methodology. Other experts bring theirs.
Together, those perspectives allow readers to explore each pillar from multiple disciplines rather than through a single point of view.
If you believe your work belongs within one of the Six Pillars, we invite you to explore contributing.
Not sure where your expertise fits? Schedule a consultation to discuss your work, the series and potential alignment.
Experts who are ready to participate can select the publishing option that best aligns with their goals.
Each option provides a defined level of participation and publishing benefits while maintaining the editorial, production and brand standards established for the complete series.
